UTAH SIZZLING JUST LIKE ARIZONA

Our Tour of the Rockies road trip was inspired by the sizzling Arizona summer heat. Or more precisely, trying to get away from it after 3 months of 105F to 115F weather by heading straight north into presumably cooler mountain areas.

And what did we get on this day of our trip? More 100F+ temperatures even here in Utah, complementing 109F back in Phoenix – today, Sep 5!

When we took these beautiful panorama shots of Lake Powell, which lies on the border between Arizona and Utah, the temperature was 103F.

Even when we arrived in Kanab, UT, about over an hour later, the heat was still in the sizzling 100F-range.

“Hope we won’t have to drive all the way to Alaska,” I only half-jokingly told Elizabeth as we checked into our hotel.
