Introduction to a “Spontaneity Trip” of a Lifetime
May 12, 2018
I have traveled probably 4-5 million miles on various airlines in this lifetime. But I have never undertaken a trip like this. I know its beginning and the end. But I have no idea what will happen in between.
It all started a few weeks away when I was invited by a business friend to attend a special ball in Moscow celebrating then 25th anniversary of his company. For reasons that will become clear as this trip unfolds, I decided that I must first travel to Belgrade, my native city. Then, depending on what happens this week in Serbia, I will decide when and where to go next.So when people ask me “where are you going in Europe,” my truthful answer has been, “I really don’t know” (except for Belgrade).
All I can say is that Russia, Austria and Germany will be in play. And maybe some other countries. So stand by to see how this Spontaneity Trip unfolds.
EPILOGUE: AN AMAZING SPIRITUAL JOURNEY, NOT “JUST” AN OVERSEAS TRIP
I wrote the opening “Introduction” almost a month ago, at the outset of this trip. Now hindsight, I can say, it was not only a “spontaneity trip of a lifetime,” it was an amazing spiritual journey sprinkled with little and some stunning Divine miracles throughout the trip.
Miracles, as we humans would regard unusual cases of serendipity and synchronicity, never stopped.
THIS WAS A QUEST LIKE THE ARIZONA QUEST OF 2013
It was about half-way through this nearly monthlong journey that I realized this trip was a quest, just like the one my spirit guides and teachers sent me on over five years ago (see Arizona Desert Quest 2013, PDF, Mar-Jun). And with similar results.
Five years ago, I returned from my desert quest resolved to leave Hawaii and move back to Arizona. It took four more “transition years,” during which I lived a dual life in both place, to sell my Rainbow Shower properties and to execute this Divine plan (see RAINBOW SHOWER’S BEAUTIFUL OCEAN, MOUNTAIN VISTAS). By early 2017, I had done it. And ever since I have been back in my home state of Arizona full time. Sans the travel, of course.
A SPECIAL GIFT HIDDEN FROM VIEW BY A GOLDEN VEIL
I did not realize this at the outset, but this magical trip, this new “Serbia quest,” contained a special gift. It was wrapped in a golden veil, and thus hidden from view. It was not visible to me nor to anyone else. Not until I first proved to the spirit realm that I was worth it. Then the golden veil fell.
A glittering Divine invitation beckoned me to move back to Serbia, as alluring and daring Cleopatra when she rolled herself into a carpet, only to emerge in front of a smitten . Mark Anthony like a new dawn.
And how did I have to prove that I was worthy of such a gift?
By putting my trust in God and in my spirit guides and teachers. Unconditionally. Some call it blind faith. I call it trust. And knowing that I am being loved and protected.
When I started this trip, I jumped off a cliff not knowing where I would land, or what would happen if I survived. But I trusted the Creator and my spirit guides that they knew. And that they would lay out the road signs for me along the way so I would not get lost or hurt.
And boy oh boy, did they ever do that. In spades!
Throughout the trip. “Miracles” never stopped. Not even last night, when I arrived at the guard gate of our North Scottsdale community., after staying awake for 29 hours. Almost as long as my erstwhile journeys (1996-2005) to my other home in Western Australia – the Bolt Hole (see RETURN TO MY FIRST YIN HOME – THE BOLT HOLE, DUNSBOROUGH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA).
SCOTTSDALE GUARD GATE “MIRACLE”
When my taxi driver pulled up to the guard gate of my North Scottsdale community, I identified myself to the guard.
“Mr Djurdjevic,” he repeated with a perfect Serbian accent. “Do you speak Serbian?”
“I do,” I replied. “In fact, I come from Belgrade.”
A great big ear-to-ear smile spread across the guard’s place like sunshine over the landscape.
“How long ago was that?” the guard asked, evidently assuming that I was referring to when I first arrived in the US.
“Right now. I am coming from Belgrade right now. Literally.”
The guard’s smile widened even more until his face looked like a noontime sun even though it was nearly midnight.
“Welcome back home then!” the guard said.
Another “miracle.” I have lived at Grayhawk for 13 years now. But it was only on this late evening of June 4, 2018, as I returned from my native city, that I saw this Serbian guard for the first time.
VIENNA RENTAL CAR “MIRACLE”
Which reminded me of a similar encounter at the Vienna airport where I returned my rental car. A pretty young woman who checked me in looked at my name and asked the same thing.
“Yes, I can speak Serbian,” replied speaking in Serbian.
Turns out she was from Banjaluka, a predominantly Serbian city in western Bosnia, close to the Croatian Lika district from where my maternal Bogdanovic family hail.
What followed was a lovely conversation during which I learned that the Serbs in Vienna live mostly in the 16th district (Bezirk) where there are a lot of Serbian “kafanas” (bars/restaurants).
“I’ll have to check it out on my next trip,” I told her.
As we said out goodbye, this beautiful young lady gave me some candy and flashed a smile that opens hearts like a corkscrew does to wine bottles.
FINDING MY NEW BELGRADE FLAT
When it dawned on me what this special gift from the spirit real was about, which was as I said about half way through the trip, I set out to see how hard it would be to find a flat for me in Belgrade that would sing to my heart.
I was initially discouraged when I saw that there were literally thousands of them on the market and no easy way to filter through them. And then just as I was about to give up, I came across this one (see Protected: МОЈ НОВИ СТАН? MY NEW FLAT?). [This is a password-protected piece intended for my family and close friends. If you would like to have access to it, write to me and ask for the password].
My real estate agent was a spiritual person, the owner’s daughter was spiritual and became interested in my shamanic work, the owner, who was away in London at time, also sounded excited when I told her I would need to bring in a piano. All these were signs from the spirit realm as clear as a bell more than any welcome mat would have been.
Yet it was the first and the only apartment I had seen before I made my decision to take it for a six-month trial when I get back to my native city.
Unmistakable serendipity, synchronicity or coincidence – in ordinary human terms. Or as clear as a bell sign from the Divine real for a shaman like myself.
TOP THREE EXPERIENCES
As I do at the end of each trip, I asked myself during the long flights from Belgrade to Phoenix what would be the top three experiences on this amazing journey? Here they are:
And now, here’s also a photo collage and an update I wrote from New York on my final day on this trip.
UPDATE JUNE 4, 2018
From New York
MORE THAN HALF WAY HOME, BIRTHDAY KEEPS COMING AND COMING
Greetings from New York! I am back in the US again. After a long flight from Belgrade (9 hrs), a long layover at JFK, God and Jet Blue willing, I should be back home in Scottsdale before midnight tonight.
I had initially intended to go into the City and maybe have lunch at the Tavern on the Green in Central Park. But the forecast I saw last night was calling for a 100% chance of rain in New York today. So I had changed my plans and booked a lounge at JFK.
Well, take a look at the weather I found as we were landing. And also check out this free Starbucks happy birthday drink that awaited me at Jet Blue’s terminal 5 at JFK. It seems my birthday this year keeps coming and coming.
BACK HOME IN ARIZONA!
And that’s all she wrote from this wonderful trip.
